In 1981, SONGS was upgraded from being capable of handling a 6.0 to 7.0 (magically). The map attached shows the Newport Inglewood fault marked as one capable of a 7.5 to 8.0.

That is 5 to 10 times the force of a 7.0 and 100 times more than a 6.0. There is also a Google Satellite image that shows the underwater ridge that seems to line up with the map. It looks like an underwater landslide just waiting to happen. Very Tsunami prone situation from what I’ve heard, although the “experts” say the fault is a slip type with little upwards thrust so we don’t have to worry about THAT!
